Interior design for remodels and new construction should start early. If you’re hiring an architect or contractor, you should be bringing your designer in at the same time.

This is where I start with most clients—because the earlier we make good decisions, the better everything works. It’s also when the biggest decisions are made, and where the most expensive mistakes tend to happen.

I’m involved from the beginning to make sure the home feels cohesive, functions well, and supports how you actually live day to day. Bringing a designer in early doesn’t just improve the outcome—it helps avoid costly rework and keeps the entire project aligned from the start.

Throughout planning and construction, I guide all interior selections, including:

• flooring
• cabinetry and built-ins
• lighting
• countertops and surfaces
• paint colors and finishes
• and all the smaller details that tie everything together

Each project includes:

detailed floor plans

elevation drawings for cabinetry and built-ins

a lighting plan

a comprehensive selections spreadsheet

The goal is simple: a home where the design supports your daily life for many years to come. Furnishings may be incorporated as a separate phase.

Design fees start at $2,500 per room

Furnishings projects are often where a home really comes together.Whether this is a standalone project or layered into a remodel, I design spaces that feel cohesive, comfortable, and bespoke.

Working with me gives you access to quality, trade-only furnishings that aren’t available through big-box retailers.  I also make sure your home doesn’t feel like a showroom. Your existing pieces, art, and personal elements are thoughtfully incorporated so the space still feels like yours.

A furnishings plan will include:

• furniture floor plans
• furnishings sourcing
• lighting
• window treatments
• rugs
• paint and wallpaper
• finishing styling, like art and plants

Everything is considered as a whole—not piece by piece.

Design fees start at $1,500 per room

What It’s Like to Work Together

No matter the scope of your project, my role is to guide you through the process so you can make confident decisions without feeling overwhelmed.

We begin with a complimentary on-site consultation where we discuss your goals, scope of work, and budget. From there, I handle:s

• pace planning and layouts
• design concept developmen
• tsourcing and purchasing
• coordination with vendors and contractors
• receiving and storing furnishings
• final installation

You’ll have full visibility and approval of budget and product selections at every step through my project management software. And just as important—I pay close attention to the details. That’s where projects are  elevated and personalized.

Yes. I regularly collaborate with contractors, builders, and architects throughout Tucson and the surrounding areas. My role is to make sure the design vision is carried through clearly—so selections, drawings, and details are aligned and communicated well during construction.

How do you design homes for the Arizona desert climate?

Designing for the Southwest is very specific.I focus on materials and finishes that hold up well in a dry, high-sun environment—while also softening the intensity of the light inside the home. That often means layered neutrals, natural materials, and thoughtful window and lighting choices so the space feels comfortable throughout the day.

Can you help if I don’t know my design style?

I don’t start with a label. I start by understanding how you live, what’s working, and what you’re drawn to. From there, I guide the design so it feels cohesive and natural, rather than trying to fit your home into a predefined style.

Will my home feel too “Southwestern”?

Not unless that’s what you want. My work is influenced by the desert (and Mother Nature in general), but it’s not about creating a themed space. Most homes I design blend elements—modern, organic, sometimes mid-century—so the result feels grounded and connected to the environment, but still personal and timeless.
